Gianluca Colucci owes the name he is known by to most, Fru, to his love for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and especially for John Frusciante.
His comedy, characterized by cynicism and perpetual anxiety, earned him a place in the content factory of The Jackal, with whom he participated in numerous projects as an actor, eventually becoming, in 2021, one of the faces of the original Netflix series "Generazione 56 K."
Fru boasts several television appearances, in programs such as "LOL - Chi Ride è Fuori," The Jackal special of "Quattro Ristoranti," and "Stasera Tutto è Possibile."
In 2022, he participated as a contestant in "Pechino Express" with his colleague Aurora. In the movie "La Cena Perfetta" by Davide Minnella (2022), he plays one of the main characters alongside Greta Scarano and Salvatore Esposito.
In 2023, he appears in the first series written and produced by The Jackal in collaboration with Mad Entertainment, "Pesci Piccoli - un’agenzia, molte idee, poco budget," available on Prime Video.
This year also marked his debut as a host, first alongside his colleague Aurora Leone in the new edition of Italy's Got Talent on Disney+, and then as co-host of Pechino Express, alongside Costantino Della Gherardesca.
In October 2023, his first book, "Come Imparare Tutte le Bandiere del Mondo con il Metodo Fru. Anche se Non Vi Servirà Mai," was released.
In 2024, the second season of "Pesci Piccoli - un’agenzia, molte idee, poco budget" (Prime Video) was announced, and his return as a special correspondent for Pechino Express was confirmed, once again with his travel companion Costantino Della Gherardesca.
