Head of the Office of the European Parliament in Italy

Carlo Corazza is a lawyer and EU official. Currently, he serves as the Director of the European Parliament Office in Italy since July 1, 2019. He previously held the position of Deputy Chief of Staff to Antoni Tajani during Tajani's presidency of the European Parliament and served as his spokesperson when Tajani was Vice President of the European Commission. Among his other roles at the European Commission, he worked as a member of the cabinet of European Commissioner Emma Bonino, head of the press office of the European Commission in Italy, and Director of the representation of the European Commission in Milan. From 2014 to 2017, he served as the head of the unit for Economic Diplomacy and later as the head of the Tourism and Cultural and Creative Industries Unit in the Directorate-General for Industry of the European Commission. From 1987 to 1991, he worked at the Gianni, Origoni & partners law firm. He graduated in law from Sapienza University of Rome with honors (110/110 maxima cum Laude) in 1987. In 1990, he obtained the Diploma of Advanced European Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges. He is the author of the book "Ecoeuropa: le nuove politiche per l'Energia e il Clima," published by Egea (Bocconi University).
